HAIR PRODUCTS
L’Oreal Masque Re-Naitre – Picked up on the cheap, was OK but nothing special.
Ojon Dry Recovery Moisture Mist – This was a Sephora points freebie and it was terrible. Made my hair crispy feeling so it’s getting chucked halfway through.
BODY PRODUCTS
Dove Go Fresh Pomegranate and Lemon Verbena Shower Gel - Nice scent, decently foamy. Cheap and good to use but wouldn’t rush to re-purchase.
Kings and Queens Shower Gel and Body Butter – Really, REALLY strong sickly sugary scent. Shower gel was fine but the body butter was ordinary and barely rubbed in, instead leaving me with white streaks. I chucked the body butter with a third to go.
Le Tan Tanning Gel in Deep Bronze - Love this stuff. Already re-purchased.
Rose Body Scrub – A $2 Daiso purchase that was surprisingly good. Nice and scrubby with a sweet jammy rose scent.
Parisienne Body Lotion - Came with a gift pack. Lotion was a bit runny but lovely scent.
L’Occitane Dry Skin hand Cream - I don’t use hand cream so I used this as a foot cream and it worked well. Very moisturising.
FACE PRODUCTS
Kiehls Pineapple and Papaya Face Scrub – I’d heard so many good things over the years but this was TERRIBLE. No scrubby bits and a total waste of money.
Nude Nature’s Super Oxidant Foaming Cleanser - Another shocker. Has a horrible essential oil smell, doesn’t lather and is like washing your face with glue. I used it as my morning cleanser but I’m chucking it halfway through.
Dove Foaming Make Up Remover - Automatic re-purchase.
Queen Helene Mint Julep Masque – the best mask for when you have oilier skin or a break out. Dries everything up without over drying and this tiny tube has lasted me a year as a little goes a long way. Bought a new tube in Thailand.
Ponds Clear Solutions Acne Expert Facial Scrub - This was a Thai buy. Decently scrubby and a little bit foamy, not a bad product.
Etude House Royal Jelly Mask - Thai buy and a good, garden variety cloth/serum mask.
Estee Lauder Advanced Time Zone Creme sample - Too heavy for my skin.
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer - OK but certainly a lot of other primers out there doing a better job, plus I’m not wholly convinced on primer anyway.
Garnier Self Heating Mask - Thai buy and was OK. Doesn’t set and stays a bit sticky on the face.
MAKE UP
Rimel Eye Gloss in Equinox – Sooooo old and is like black tar with silver glitter. Chucker.
Garnier Miracle Skin Perfector Oily/Combination sample - Not a fan.
Mirinesse Pearl Crush Eyeshadow - I have several versions of a palette with these colours and this is the cheap crappy one. Chucker.
Revlon Molten Metal Shadow in Tarnished - Old and chucking.
essence Cherry Blossom Girl Lipstick pencil in Cherry Cherry Girl - Possibly one of the worst things I have ever spent $3 on and I once bought a can of the original Mother drink.
Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara – I was big fan of the original formula of this but this version is too wet and gives no volume. Stick with the non plumping version.
Clinique High Impact Mascara sample - This is surprisingly good however there’s so many great cheaper mascaras out there I probably wouldn’t purchase.
Covergirl Crystal Eyes Shadow - I loved this iridescent, sparkly pale lilac/plum shadow when i bought it about 10 years ago but it’s all dried up now. Chucking.
Revlon Glossylicious in Guava – Found this in my work locker when I was cleaning it out. Tastes bad so chucking.
Face of Australia Liquid Lines Metallic Eyeliner in Copper Blaze - A nice colour but getting old and applying unevenly. Chucking.
BYS Mineral Shadow in Lulu Blue - Old and chucking.
Catwalk Eyeshadow in 620 - Old and chucking.
Princess Cosmos Eyeshadow - Old and chucking.
Maybelline Cool Effect Cream Eyeshadow in Pretty Cool - Old and chucking.
FRAGRANCE
Kylie Minogue Inverse EDT – This is technically a male fragrance but I love it. it smells so fresh, like som eone has just stepped out of the shower after brushing their teeth and lathering up with soap. You can pick it up in priceline for under $20 a lot of the time and if you’re keen on trying to wear some more masculine fragrances, this is a great start. Highly recommended.
Gucci Guilty EDP - This was gifted to me by a friend and it’s not really my thing at all. It’s an oriental floral but in all, just a bit too soft and meh for my tastes.

1. Irrelevant to this post, but good old Priceline had Neutrogena at 20% off last week (and free online shipping!) so I have officially bought your much loved/raved about Age Intensive Night Cream – can’t wait to try it out!
2. Have you tried the lighter version of the Le Tan Coconut Tanning Gel too? If so, how do they compare do you think? I bought Bronze but it’s veeeery subtle – which is better than being OTT – but I’m wondering about getting the Deep Bronze next time!
3. Impressed as always by all of your empties!
Yay! Hope you love it , it’s become one of my faves.
I found the deep bronze to not be that dark, haven’t tried the regular bronze but I’m thinking it would be a bit pale. If I’m going to make the effort then i want to look tanned!
Good to know! I actually normally get the darker version – it normally means I can do one careful coat and be happy – less admin etc – but the ‘deep bronze’ name scared me off! Medium/Dark sounds less scary with other brands! Not that I think I’ll be turning to other brands after getting onto this gem though – it ticks alllll my boxes with a gradual tanner! Win.
How good is it? It’s really the best tanner I’ve ever used.
Going to have to try this stuff out! I’ve been using Le Tan’s other tanners for years. They are the best!
It seriously is the best. Promise.
Oh I want to try out that tan. Does it have much of a scent? I’ve been using the mousse version which I love but the scent really lingers for a day or so after I apply it so I’m on the hunt for an alternative.
No, it’s pretty good re scent. It still does have a bit of one but it’s the subtlest I’ve used.
