Colour me happy.
I’m such a convert to these wide elastic hair bands. I’d seen them on quite a few US blogs but nowhere in Australia until I found them in Sportsgirl last year. I love them because they’re gentle on your hair and they don’t leave a mark if your hair’s up in a ponytail all day, making it easy to do they sexy librarian thing after five and let your hair down without a huge bump across it. Plus they just look that little bit more chic than a standard black elastic. While we’re on the subject, I hate seeing women working in a corporate environment (or pretty much anywhere) and they have a lovely outfit on but their hair is tied up with some scabby coloured elastic. Like red! Looks so bad. Doubly bad if it’s one of those terry toweling ties.

I am perpetually that girl with the weird coloured hair ties….but having red hair makes it impossible to hide any freaking colour…these are awesome though! If you can’t beat them, join ‘em, eh?

I sure do! Yes, the terry-towelling ones make me want to immediately cut them out of the persons hair and remind them it’s the 2000′s, and the 1980′s are calling and want their hairties back….haha
