HAIR PRODUCTS
Sunsilk Keratinology Shampoo and Conditioner – These were fine but not special. Made my hair reasonably shiny and silky but nothing really made the products stand out or be worthy of a repeat purchase.
Selsun Blue Anti-Dandruff Shampoo in Soothing Menthol – Because I use so much hair oil and dry shampoo, I like to use an anti-dandruff shampoo every other wash to clear all the gunk off. This was good, did a decent job but again, not a standout.
Baptiste Dry Shampoo in Proud and True Brit – I like Baptiste Dry Shampoo but I can rarely tell the difference between the scents. This just did the same usual good job as others in the range.
FACE PRODUCTS
Kanebo Daily Cotton – Before I went to Japan I had read somewhere that Japanese cotton pads are crazy good so I made sure to get some. People were not lying – IT WAS LIKE RUBBING A KITTEN ON MY FACE. If you have someone that can grab you some of these then do it.
Ponds Cold Cream and Daiso Wash Cloth Mitten – I found the Ponds at Chemist Warehouse for $2.99 and decided to try and kick it old school style, using the Daiso mitten to wipe the cream and hopefully my make up off. It was a pain and to be honest, didn’t do as good a job as my Dove Foaming Makeup Cleanser.
Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips – Automatic repurchase.
Liquid Neutrogena Cleanser – I really liked this. It was mild but still did a great job of getting dirt and make up remnants off. Shame you can’t buy it here in Australia.
Biore Gentle Make-Up Removing Wipes – I find wipes a pointless exercise and these were no exception.
Etude House Lemon Mask – A Thailand purchase and I put it in the fridge to cool down. Nice and refreshing for summer.
Snowgirl Pearl and Black Charcoal Facial Mask – Another Thai purchase and while it was a nice mask, it was an absolute mofo to get off and made my wash cloth go a weird grey.
Alpha H Prep and Prime Sample – One of my 2012 favourites and so good I’ve already bought the full size.
BODY PRODUCTS
Swisse Body Scrub with Bamboo and Echinachea – This was OK, felt much like scrubbing your body with ye olde Aapri facial scrub and kind of smelled like oranges.
Hamilton Skin Active Ureaderm – SO GOOD. One of my favourites from 2012.
Sukin Wellbeing Body Oil – Why do I do this? I hate the feel of body oils and they are never moisturising enough. This one was no exception and I really didn’t like it. Plus it smelled like the place where I get my legs waxed, which I equate with pain. I don’t think this was a bad product, it just isn’t my preference.
MOR Tahitian Body Glow – Old sample I whipped out and used for the Christmas party. Don’t think you can even buy it anymore.
Aesop A Rose By Any Other Name Body Cleanser – Sample via Adore. Smelled pretty but full size costs a fortune.
MAKE UP & FRAGRANCE
YSL Parisienne EDP – My brother bought this for me about three Christmases ago and i’ve only just knocked it off. A sweet modern rose that’s a great day fragrance, plus it has the usual gorgeous YSL packaging.
theBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer – I love this, my favourite bronzer of all time and I previously talked about how much I love it here. There’s only a bit left around the edges of the pan but it keeps applying unevenly so it has to go. David Jones now stocks theBalm so make sure you check it out, their stuff is fantastic.
Mentholatum Lip Fondue in Honey Rose – Super sticky and glossy lip balm from Japan that smelled and tasted like Turkish Delight. Big wins all round.
Dermalogica Skin Perfect Primer – Primer’s not really my thing but this wasn’t bad.

I don’t like body oil as a rule either, but I don’t mind that one. I don’t use it very often though, and certainly not lately when it’s been so hot. I like the smell, too. Kind of choc-orange or something.
Yeah as I said, i don’t think it was a bad product it’s just not my thing. I reckon you’re spot on with the choc orange call.
